Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced ESG Consultant to join the dynamic team for our clients. As an ESG Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in advising our clients on integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into their business strategies and operations. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, including corporations, investors, non-profits, and governmental organizations, to help them understand, measure, and improve their ESG performance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct ESG assessments and audits for clients to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement ESG strategies tailored to the unique needs and objectives of each client.
- Provide guidance and support to clients in aligning their business practices with international ESG standards and frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
- Assist clients in developing ESG reporting frameworks and preparing sustainability reports in accordance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement activities to gather input from internal and external stakeholders on ESG issues and priorities.
- Stay abreast of emerging ESG trends, regulations, and industry best practices to provide informed advice and recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate ESG considerations into other service offerings, such as risk management, supply chain management, and corporate governance.
- Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, preparing proposals, and delivering presentations on ESG topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, sustainability, business administration, or finance. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) preferred.
- Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in ESG consulting, corporate sustainability, responsible investing, or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks, and best practices, including but not limited to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), and the Equator Principles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to assess ESG performance and impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
- Professional certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), or Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) FSA Credential are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ESG-related software and tools.
